The Secrets of Ramsar, season 2
On Sunday, June 18, 2023, a new fun cycling adventure is proposed to you, to live an exploration in the heart of the Vallée du Loire en Anjou. For this second season: three routes starting from Lac de Maine, events and an adventure to live as a couple, with family or friends in the heart of the Vallée du Loire en Anjou, Natura 2000 classified area.
Your goal is to uncover the secrets of Ramsar and discover the mysterious creature of the Vallée du Loire en Anjou through new epics combining observation, reflection, sport and experimentation.
Along the water, between lock, vineyard and stages in emblematic sites: Terra Botanica, Giffard, Château de la Perrière, Château d’Épiré, Bonne Alliance, Maison de l’environnement; live a day of exploration to discover the beauty and the mysteries of the Vallée du Loire en Anjou. From solving puzzles to discovering, from walking to surpassing oneself, this unique cycling day invites you to become nature keepers.

Route 1 – 19 km
A day of sports discovery on the banks of Maine, towards the vineyard of Savennières
Route 2 – 26 km
A day on a bike for the eyes, with the family
Route 3 – 33 km
A day by bike for an epicurean exploration on the banks of Mayenne
The rules of the game
1/ I choose my course and starting time
2/ I register
3/ I withdraw my adventure kit on Sunday, June 18, on the village at Lac de Maine
4/ I go on an adventure, equipped with my bike, a helmet, a canteen and my picnic
5/ I savour a moment with family or friends, between city and nature
Brief information
DEPARTURE: Lac de Maine to Angers – 9:30 am to 1:15 pm
COURSE: 3 courses of your choice
DISTANCES: 19, 26 and 33 km
DURATION : 1 day of discovery
ARRIVAL : Lake Maine to Angers
REGISTRATION: Registration by mandatory time slot
ADVENTURE KIT: Price: a single price of 13 € for the kit (valid from 1 to 5 people)
Of which €1 donated to the association FNE Anjou
BEFORE DEPARTURE: Possibility to park your bike in the guarded parking lot of the village
To reach Angers and Lake Maine, bike and car sharing are recommended

*Ramsar, who are you?
The Ramsar Convention is an international treaty adopted on 2 February 1971 for the conservation and sustainable use of wetlands. It aims to stop their degradation or disappearance today and tomorrow, by recognizing their ecological functions, as well as their economic, cultural, scientific and recreational value.
Vallée du Loire en Anjou, the territory around the Sarthe, the Loir and the island of Saint-Aubin made of flooded wetlands for part of the year, are recognized by the Ramsar Convention
