In case of a force majeure or a government or prefecture decree related to the COVID-19 crisis resulting in the cancellation of Gravel of Legend, the Organiser will reimburse the registration fees. If circumstances require, the Organiser reserves the right to modify the routes, departure times & organisational procedures linked to the smooth running of the event at any time. In the event of other force majeure or circumstances beyond its control (unfavourable climatic conditions, pandemics or any other conditions endangering the safety of the competitors), the Organiser reserves the right to modify or postpone the departure time by several hours or to shorten or neutralise the ride or to stop or cancel the event.
GRAVEL OF LEGEND was born from a desire to symbolise the landing of gravel in France and give the opportunity for bike lovers to share a unique experience while respecting the environment. Men and women who join this epic journey will ride this Gravel Of Legend course as a tribute to freedom.

Gravel of Legend is not a competition course, but is conducted in semi-autonomy and is a non-timed race, without classification, respecting traffic regulations
Ride 300 Km in max. 20 hours
Limited to 400 participants. It is required to have a FFC licence or to opt for a non-member licence with the subscription of a day pass.
Specific bikes for Gravel equipped with a road handlebar, Cyclo-Cross bikes equipped with a road handlebar, bikes equipped with tires with a width of 32 to 47 mm.

From the artificial port of Arromanches to its capital city Bayeux, the Bessin represents a condensed part of the norman territory through the coastline and the appearing bocage. It is is ideally located to be discovered by bike. The high cliff offer an mind-blowing view on the norman coast and on the unforgettable landing beaches. Nearby, you can visit Bayeux, a medieval city known for its medieval tapestry that tells the story of the Norman Conquest of England. It has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Calvados is a bike territory crossed by 3 renowned véloroutes (Vélo Francette, Vélomaritime, Véloroute from the landing beaches to the Mont Saint-Michel). The bike lovers will get to discover bucolic landscapes, between the north coastline and the Norman bocage with fortified farms, manor house and abbeys towards the south of Normandy.
At the heart of the Regional and Natural Parc of Normandy-Maine, Orne is undoubtedly a département covered in nature, an absolute heaven for bike riders. Domfront is a stopover town of the Gravel of Legend but it is first and foremost a charming medieval city with half-timbered houses and remains of its castle.
The Maine Département counts many touristic advantages : reknown wine-growing region, castles and charming villages… Bike is largely used as a transport, thanks to beautiful path crossing the Département.
The territory of Angers offers an harmony between nature and the city. The city of Angers benefits from a geographical position. It is at the crossroads of several vélo-routes. Driven by the will to develop sustainable tourism, Angers became the first green city and is deeply involved in a policy promoting bike as a proactive transport.
